Ecce Homo

1981. No inscriptions. Fine in near fine to fine dust jacket."George Grosz is the greatest social-satirist of the twentieth century. He picks out all the sordid details of the bourgeoise moral decay and adds them up to a shattering effect". This is a reprint of the 1965 edition. Eighty-four superb drawings on art quality paper, including 16 in full colour - all in pristine condition. Binding fine clean, tight & fresh in near fine to fine unclipped dust wrapper. Except for tiniest of wear on back jacket this would be an 'as new' book. This book was suppressed in Germany in 1923. This beautiful edition follows the original issue & contains all of Grosz' original illustrations. Twenty-four of these original plates were later confiscated & destroyed by the German Gov for 'defaming public morals'.
