There is a map at the back which is loose and semi-detached at the staples, which have rusted, although the map is still partially in place at the spine. The map is a Map of New South Wales Railways showing Coach and Other Routes from the Various Stations. In the early 1900s prospectors would have travelled by rail or coach to get to the diggings. Covers are worn and nicked and detached at top and bottom of spine. Contents includes, Financial Aid to Prospectors, The Mines Inspection Act, Reward for the Discovery of New Mineral Fields, Receipt of Gold at the Sydney Branch of the Royal Mint, Assaying of Samples and Determination of Minerals.....and more. There is a section of loss on the back index page. There is some foxing at the front and back and at edges but the contents are mostly clean and tight. 156 pp plus map.
