1970. First Edition. Fine. No inscriptions. Two obscure young Englishmen visit Australia. The first was Charles Darwin, in 1836, official Naturalist in His Majesty's Survey Ship "Beagle", & the second in 1847, was Thomas Henry Huxley, assistant to the surgeon of Her Majesty's Survey Ship, "Rattlesnake". and the rest is history. Drawings reproduced from Huxley's Diary of the Voyage of H.M.S. Rattlesnake. Contents fine, with no inscriptions, no owner plates, no foxing. Near fine dust jacket with only flaw being a dent from a paper-clip & very minimal edge-wear. 142 pp protected by archival sleeve.
