Eighty-one beautiful coloured illustrations; captioned tissue-guard protectors. Blue decorative binding with pink roses to front cloth board & spine; gilt to top edge; binding strong; owner inscription from 1908 states to "The Queen of Waverley from a Wandering Subject" with another from 1978; some scattered foxing but plates very good; a little edge-wear. 204 pp + 4 pp of adverts for 'Black's Beautiful Books'. Also included is a Scottish Widows Fund bookmark with an illustration of 'A Hostage' by E. Alvarez Dumont.
