This astonishing scholarly book is a first-hand record of how the people of the Colony of NSW lived from day to day during the first year of the settlement.....which was originally made up of approx 750 convicts, together with the crews of ships, soldiers, and Governor Phillip's admin staff. Original diaries, ed. by Dr. John Cobley. Illustrations & maps. Contents & clipped dust jacket both very good, except for a couple of plates a little damp effected. No inscriptions, no foxing. Overall really very good. Endpapers show map of Port Jackson. 296 pp protected by clear, removable mylar sleeve.
