The New House-Captain 1930, Second Edition

1930, Second Edition, published by Humphrey Milford Oxford University Press. There is an owner inscription from 1931 which states "Mabel Harrington who is the most Popular Girl in Vb Dec 1931". Decorative boards are very good and show a young woman & 2 girls on the front board, one holding a tennis racket, with a flowering tree behind, and another girl pictured on the spine. The back cover is an advert for the New Ensign Series. Binding is tight and sound with little wear at corners & spine. There is clear tape along the spine, though no obvious reason for this since the binding is strong. There is foxing to all edges, the endpapers, title page, contents page and last page of book, with a little scattered. Frontis, by Mary S. Reeve, of 2 young women in a library & the quote is "I was afraid you might be counting on me as Sports Captain". 288 pp.
