COLLECTIBLE MAP. Hendon was a rural district in Middlesex from 1894 to 1934. It became increasingly urbanised and became the Borough of Hendon in 1931/32. This map dates from that period. Large colour-coded rectangular folding map measuring 48"x37" [approx] with a scale to 7000 feet. Reproduced from the Ordnance Survey Map with the sanction of the Controller of H.M. Stationery Office. Linen-backed with 4 folds x 10 folds; concertinas to 7"x5"x1". Green linen to front & back. H. W. Rackham F.S.I. Engineer & Surveyor to the Council Offices Harrow Weald. Printed by Cook, Hammond & Kell Ltd, Tothill St, Westminster. Very good/ near fine; a touch foxed to outer edge & front plate.
