The author Marc Edo Tralbaut was born in 1902. He was formerly the Chief Curator of the Royal Museum of Art in Anterp. He was also the founder of the Van Gogh Archives in The Hague. Preface by the nephew of Vincent Van Gogh. Hundreds of illustrations plus a great deal of analysis, learned textual critiques etc. No Inscriptions, bookplates or marks. The Alpine Fine Arts Collection publishes only the finest quality books for art lovers hence the quality of the reproductions is excellent owing to being printed on superior quality paper. Printed in Italy and produced in Switzerland. The unclipped dust jacket is very good with a small closed tear at edge of back panel which is now protected by a clear removable archival sleeve. A fabulous book which not only includes the illustrations but also an in-depth and comprehensive analysis of the artist, his life and his work. 350 pp. This heavy book which will require additional postage to some countries.
